Restrictions on travel and holidays have eased but the safety of our guests is still of paramount importance to us and we will do everything possible to ensure your well being during your stay with us. The property is always scrupulously cleaned between bookings as are all appliances, utensils and linens. The property has its own front door, a separate, fully fenced garden and its own, dedicated parking space next to the entrance. Guests can be assured that they will be able to check in and enjoy their stay without making any face to face contact if required.
Fernside Cottage is ideally situated for anyone wishing to spend time away from crowds and busy public places. From its “off the beaten track” location guests can easily reach on foot The Pendle Way, The Pennine Way and numerous other footpaths. The surrounding countryside is rich in birdlife, breath-taking scenery and history. Many cyclists enjoy the area too.

Fernside Cottage was a great place to stay for a short break in this lovely part of the UK. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, with a wonderful view from the upstairs sitting room. The cottage was easy to find and had a parking space. There was also outside space, but unfortunately the weather did not allow us to enjoy this facility.
